Quick update…

The gallery may be shut for a while but that doesn’t mean I have to hang up the paint brushes! I’ve taken just about everything I can to make art back home with me, and set up a corner of the house for working in. All my good intentions for creating are well and truly scuppered at the moment though. How nice and sunny is it this week? We have tidied and reset the garden, cleaned everything and washed the car ready for helping anyone who needs us, as we have signed up for the N.H.S volunteer helpline. We are very lucky to be mobile, and in good health so we can at least be of help to those not so fortunate or vulnerable. In between times I know I’ll be squishing my oil paints around to keep me busy… if only to keep me out of the biscuit jar!

Latest knife works…

I’ve been townscaping my little socks off recently, after deciding to paint a vast swathe of Bradford on Avon”s downtown. I will be doing this as a diptych, to do the panarama justice. I have finished one side, albeit the final fluffings when the two pieces are side by side, and as you can see it is quite full on! My eyes got a little ‘building crazy’ so I took a break and rustled up a loose woman. Well you know what I mean. I do love my palette knife and a squidge of oil paint. Heaven! I’ll start back on more buildings tomorrow with a vat of coffee in my non painty hand…

Enjoy xx
